This photo shows a U.S. Army jeep being lowered into a landing craft from a Coast Guard-manned assault transport, during the Normandy Invasion of June 1944.

The photo is sharp and detailed enough to read the jeep hood registration number (20447210S) and other markings. The LCM is from USS Joseph T. Dickman (APA-13), but the ship in the photo is not her.
