This is a photograph taken 9 May 1943 by a U.S. Army Signal Corps photographer at a remote field communications station in New Guinea. The Signal Corps logo is visible on the lower left of the photo and part of the photo ID number is on the right lower edge.

From the original photo caption: "Radio Operator, Cpl. John Robbins of Louisville, Nebraska, 41st Signal, 41st Inf. Div., operating his SCR 188 in a sandbagged hut at Station NYU. Dobodura, New Guinea"
