War Department Soliders Pass, Sheet of Six Blank Forms
Give yourself a pass! This item is a sheet of six blank forms titled "Soldier's Permanent Pass -- Class A". It has spaces to be filled in for Name, Army Serial No., Grade, Organization Unit and Installation, Date Issued, and the signature of authorizing officer. There are boxes to be checked for "Off-Duty Hours" either Normal or Special. It is labeled form "WD AGO Form 8, 1 Apr 1946" and in smaller type "16-47618-1". The image above shows the sheet of six with part of one form enlarged as a sample. The download image has six pass forms on one page and does not have the sample superimposed. The message on the card reads: There are no prescribed restrictions on the range of travel authorized during the period covered by this pass except the requriement that the individual named hereon be at his proper station when required to be present for duty.
