Military History is the subject of a number of fine magazines, with well written articles and hard to find photos in every issue.

Be sure to check the archives of the Military Organizations listed in that section of Olive-Drab. Many of these web sites contain photos and historical information particular to that organization or unit.

Today in WW II: 18 Nov 1940 Alfred Loomis suggests the electronic air navigation system which was later developed into LORAN [long range navigation system] at MIT.  More 
18 Nov 1941 British Eighth Army offensive in Libya, Operation Crusader.
18 Nov 1943 Intensive RAF Bomber Command attack on Berlin, Germany begins with a 440 plane mission that causes only light damage, killing 131 while RAF loses 9 aircraft and 53 aviators.

Features personal stories and experiences and local history aspects often overlooked by other larger publications. Military Magazine is a monthly history publication written by the men and women who were there; in essence an oral account in print in the words of those who served. Unlike most military history chronicles, Military encourages the subscribers to become involved in what is published.
