    • Nose buds secure the glass and prevent slipping while providing a pillow soft fit.

    • Ballistic-fragment protection meets MIL-PRF-31013 requirements (clause 3.5.1.1, 15 Cal. T37 shaped projectile @650ft/sec).
    • Compliant with all ANSI Z87.1-2003 optical performance and protection requirements.
    • Clear and gray lenses filter 99% of all UV-A and UV-B rays.
    • Lenses are coated for superior scratch resistance.
    • Does not provide laser hazard protection.

The Pyramex Venture II is designed for soldiers who do not wear prescription glasses.

The Pyramex Venture II is authorized but is not on the RFI list. The Pyramex Venture II is available with clear or gray (sunglass) lens. Each lens is mounted in a separate black frame. The Pyramex Venture II has fully adjustable temples with 4 size settings. The Pyramex Venture II meets ANSI Z87.1-2003 safety requirements. The Pyramex Venture II does not have an optical insert and is not suitable for soldiers who require a spectacle prescription.

Pyramex Venture II Spectacles provides excellent ballistic protection, but does not provide eye protection from laser hazards. If a mission requires laser eye protection, the soldier must wear the Sun-Wind-Dust Goggles (SWDG), Ballistic-Laser Protective Spectacles (B-LPS), or Special Protective Eyewear Cylindrical System (SPECS) (with laser lenses).
