WPA WW II U.S. Navy Seebee Enlistment Poster

This is a Work Projects Administration Poster used to recruit skilled labor -- such as carpenters, machinists, electricians -- into the U.S. Navy Seebees (CB = Construction Bn.). It is one of a series of posters designed to motivate the civilian population to enter the armed services or war production.

Note the clean working environment and the exotic tropical location shown on the poster, not exactly true to the actual Seebee experience of building ports, airfields, and other facilities under the worst conditions, including hostile fire.
