Two HMMWVs (High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicles) are parked at what is only identified as Red Sand Camp. Both HMMWVs are armed with M2 .50 cal. Browning Machine Guns, live rounds in the belts.

The location is in Somalia during US participation in UN operations there 1992-1994.

Today in WW II: 19 Aug 1942 Ill-fated Allied commando raid on French city of Dieppe; of 5100 troops landed in the raid, 3648 did not return. More
