M-1112 Trailer, Tank, Water: 400 gallon, 1 1/2 ton, 8 wheel (Water Buffalo)

The M1112 Trailer, Tank, Water, 400 gallon is the successor to the M149 Water Buffalo trailer. The M1112, also called Water Buffalo, is a 1 1/2 ton eight-wheeled water trailer, with a cylindrical stainless steel tank body, a lower profile, and a wider footprint that makes it more stable when towed, less likely to tip over.

The M1112 can be rigged for helicopter sling load or is certified for airlift aboard C-130, C-141, C-17, and C-5 aircraft. It is normally shipped empty. Four tiedowns are provided: two on the rear bumper, and two more on the trailer tongue. The front landing leg and wheel has a hand crank to raise and lower it.

The NSN for the M1112 water trailer is 2330-01-389-9703. The technical manual for the M1112 water trailer is TM 9–2330–397–14&P.
