There are now thousands of sites like these with military photos and video, many gathered into the online communities like WebShots or YouTube. Others are personal websites or sponsored by a military oriented organization. In any event, the amount of military photos on the web keeps increasing.
Website Collections of Military Photos & VideoAM General Corporation has a gallery of photos of the HMMWV and the trucks that they produce for the US military and other countries. Archives Normandie is a French site with photos of World War II in Europe, 1939-1945. Clipart.com has a huge number of photos and clipart that can be searched and accessed from their web site. eBay, has a wealth of photos of the items on auction. Thousands of military items, including everything from ration books to army trucks, are on sale at any given time and most of them have photos of the item as part of the listing. If you email the seller they will usually give permission to use their photo for reasonable purposes. The Flickr on-line community houses billions of the world's photos, many with military subject matter. Join for free to browse the collection, to add your own uploads, or to converse about it in their groups. FreeFoto.com has military photos on file, available via their search capability. Free Military Photos is a website to showcase some of the great work being done by journalists and non-journalists in the military. All of the photos used are in the public domain. German U-boats photos are the subject of this picture gallery from U-boat.net. There are thousands of photos, growing daily from an expanding community of users. MilitaryMashUp.com has a database of thousands of military photos, featuring lots of jeeps, trucks, and tracked vehicles from WW II to the present. In addition, their "mash-up" format gives easy integrated access to the Google, Yahoo, and YouTube image search engines. Militaryphotos.net has a wealth of discussion forums with postings of photos and sources of photos. Highly recommended. The Military Vehicle Photos Image Library contains many photos for and by army, navy and airforce vehicle enthusiasts and professionals. There are over a hundred pictures and comments on the site for you to browse through. Mil-Mod is a website especially for the military modeler of U.S. Army Military Equipment including U.S. Military Equipment used by Allied Forces. Exceptionally well done site with great photo and drawing resources. Prime Portal was set up as a collecting point for military photos and modelers reference from around the world. Using donated photos from military posts and other contributors, Prime Portal has grown into one of the most impressive collections on the Internet. RealMilitaryFlix.com has a large collection of original military training and news films as well as still photos and other military related images. Skylighters photo galleries are devoted to the exploits and equipment of the 225th AAA Searchlight Battalion, as well as to other WW II photo presentations. TeachersFirst Pearl Harbor and World War II Resources is a collection of reviewed multimedia resources selected to help teachers and students honor Pearl Harbor Day and the important events of World War II through related projects and classroom activities.
