MV Organizations Outside US & Europe

Although the military vehicle interest is high in the U.S. and Europe, there are many MV enthusiast organizations outside those areas, including the ones listed here.

9 Jul 1943 US-British invasion of Sicily begins [night of 9-10 Jul].
9 Jul 1944 British and Canadian forces capture Caen from the Germans, a critical post-D-Day objective in Normandy, France.
9 Jul 1944 US forces reach the northern end of Saipan, finding thousands of Japanese civilian men, women, and children who commit suicide by leaping off the cliffs rather than be captured.

Military Vehicle Organizations in Canada

The Limber Gunners Association (LGA) is a non-profit group, associated with the 7th Toronto Regiment of the Royal Canadian Artillery. It was formed to assist with the restoration, maintenance and display of historic artillery and other military equipment, owned under the umbrella of the Toronto Artillery Foundation and the 7th Toronto Regiment R.C.A.

The Ontario Military Vehicle Association is one of Canada's largest MV clubs, with members throughout Canada. Contact OMVA at 16 Overton Cres., Don Mills, Ontario Canada M3B 2V2.

Prairie Command is an incorporated association of individuals in the Manitoba area (HQ in Winnipeg) who are dedicated to the history, restoration, operation, and preservation of the vehicles used by Canada's Army, Navy and Air Force.

Military Vehicle Organizations in Australia


Military Jeep Club of Queensland Inc., Command Field and Swap, Canungra, Australia, 13-15 October 2006.

The Victorian Military Vehicle Corps is reputed to be the first military vehicle club in the world. Founded in April 1961 by a handful of off-road enthusiasts who owned WW II jeeps and WLA Harley Davidson motor bikes, VMVC has grown into the largest military vehicle club in the Southern Hemisphere with about 400 members from all around Australia and overseas owning more than 1600 vehicles from Australia, Britain, United States, Russia,Germany and Japan.

Military Vehicle Organizations in Asia-Pacific

Jeep Owners Club of New Zealand & Military Re-enactment Society. For all those interested in early Jeeps, especially the WW2 era Willys MB and Ford GPW.

Angeles Combat Jeep Owners. There are more World War II U.S. military surplus materials, especially jeeps, in the Philippines than in any other country in the Pacific. ACJO, an MVPA affiliated group of MV enthusiasts in the Philippines, maintains this diverse and active web site of photos, news, facts, and links about their vehicles and activities.
