Chart of Military Vehicle Cargo Trailers
US Airmen with the 374th Airlift Wing prepare to load an M1101 Light Tactical Trailer onto a C-130 Hercules aircraft during the engine running on/offload (ERO) competition of the Air Mobility Rodeo 2011, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA, 25 July 2011.
Military vehicle trailers for general cargo are designed to be used with a specific truck or range of trucks so that the towed weight matches the capacity of the prime mover. Wheels and tires are often the same on the truck and the trailer, providing more capability to recover from a flat tire or damaged wheel. Trailers with a lunette match the height of the truck's pintle within a reasonable range. The intervehicular cable from the trailer matches the socket on the truck.
