The Arena FlakJak Goggle is commercially available combat eye protective gear for both non-prescription lens wearers and prescription lens wearers. The Arena Goggles provide ballistic and UVA/UVB eye protection. FlakJak does not have designated sizes, as one size fits all.

Arena FlakJak Goggles COTS Combat Eye Protection

The Arena FlakJak goggle frame has a foam backing that fits to the face and wicks away moisture. Arena FlakJak consists of a molded frame with ventilation to allow air to flow through, minimizing fogging. It also has an antireflective sleeve to reduce glint, and one size fits all. All goggle kits come with two ballistic protective lenses—one clear and one tinted. The Arena FlakJak lenses are made with antiscratch and antifogging coatings. Both lenses protect the eyes from ultraviolet rays.

Arena FlakJak provides excellent ballistic protection, but does not provide eye protection from laser hazards. If a mission requires laser eye protection, the soldier must wear the Sun-Wind-Dust Goggles (SWDG), Ballistic-Laser Protective Spectacles (B-LPS), or Special Protective Eyewear Cylindrical System (SPECS) (with laser lenses).

    • Ballistic impact protection meets MIL-V-43511C, paragraph 3.5.10, tested "as worn" on Alderson head form.
    • Compliant with all ANSI Z87.1-2003 optical performance and protection requirements.
    • Clear and sunglass lenses offer 100% Ultra Violet protection.
    • Does not provide laser hazard protection.
